As part of Brussels’ Plaisirs d’Hiver Christmas market, Sing Out Brussels! recently took part in the Winter Vox choir festival. Our voices warmed the hearts of our audience, who came out in force despite the frosty weather.
Winter Vox, a choir festival organised outdoors during the Plaisirs d’Hiver Christmas market, was held for the first time in three years after a hiatus due to the pandemic. Each weekend during the event, various choirs perform on a stage set up on Place Sainte-Catherine.
We reached into the archives for the occasion and sang some festive songs from our repertoire first performed at the 2019 Fabulous Queer Christmas.
However, we of course also performed numbers from our School’s Out, show not to be missed at the Centre Culturel d’Uccle on June 10th.
After the concert, we offered our inclusive, queer greetings cards for sale, and enjoyed a glass of mulled wine that was well-earned on such a wintry Sunday.
