The start of this season has been very busy: the studio recording of Let Your Heart Be Heard, filming the music video, a rehearsal weekend in Hastière, La Nuit Positive, Christmas concerts… not to mention the weekly rehearsals and the Joy Team meetings. No time to sit still!
So, to celebrate all these great efforts and successes, we got together for a friendly evening, sharing dishes and desserts prepared by each of us. Call it a potluck or an auberge espagnole — in any case, a large, generously filled table offered plenty of opportunities to sample the culinary talents of our fellow singers. And I can confirm that there is talent in that area too at Sing Out!

This evening gave us the chance to reconnect in a different way, away from our usual rehearsal vibe and in a completely relaxed atmosphere. It’s also worth noting that around twenty new members are still integrating into Sing Out, and moments like these are especially valuable for that. Chatting with one another in a mix of languages, having a drink at the bar — run by several members who took turns throughout the evening — stepping outside for some fresh air, or taking some quiet time: everything was possible. And yes, that includes singing!

Because yes, the title of this article says “Getting together without singing,” but that’s not entirely true — how could we resist? Throughout the evening, a karaoke setup was installed upstairs, allowing us once again to enjoy the fabulous voices of several of our members.
An evening that delighted us just as much as singing together!
