Last Saturday, March 7th, the Brussels queer community witnessed a milestone moment. “Brussels in Harmony” was far more than a concert—it was a powerful demonstration of unity and a vibrant celebration of our city’s diverse voices.
For the very first time, all four queer choirs of the capital shared a single stage to raise funds for the Various Voices Solidarity Fund, supporting international singers for the massive Various Voices Festival arriving here in Brussels this June 2026.
Building Bridges with Queer Moves

The spirit of the evening began long before the curtain rose. To break the ice and build a unified spirit, the singers participated in a high-energy movement workshop led by Queer Moves (the dance wing of Brussels Gay Sports). This session allowed the performers to connect through dance, transforming four separate ensembles into one united community of singers before they even stepped into the spotlight.

Four Choirs, One Heart: The Performance Highlights
The evening was a masterclass in musical variety, with each group bringing their own distinct personality to the stage:
Tapalanote: They kicked off the evening with high energy, jumping from the moody, rhythmic vibes of Billie Eilish’s Bad Guy to the magic of Abracadabra, and other performances like a show-stopping Moulin Rouge medley.

QTeam: This intimate ensemble of singers specialised in “geek music,” captivating the crowd with the ethereal theme from Studio Ghibli’s Castle in the Sky, a creative performance of He’s a Pirate from Pirates of the Caribbean, tendering multilingual versions of Disney classics or a powerful rendition of Golden from K-Pop Demon Hunters.

Punch Art: Bringing a mix of soul and anthemic rock, Punch Art moved the crowd with a classic rendition of Moon River, an empowering take on Nina Simone’s Feeling Good, and a rhythmic version of Imagine Dragons’ Believer (among others).

Sing Out Brussels!: Our hosts closed the individual sets with a rollercoaster of emotions, from deeply moving performances of songs like You Are My Sister and The Power of Love, to vibrant, celebratory versions like George Michael’s Freedom.

A World Premiere Finale
The climax of Brussels in Harmony was a moment of pure history. All four choirs squeezed onto the stage to perform together.

In a “goosebumps” moment, they delivered the world premiere live performance of “Let Your Heart Be Heard” the official anthem of Various Voices 2026. Hearing so many voices singing in unison for solidarity was a breathtaking preview of the magic coming to our city in just a few months.
The anthem isn’t just a song; it’s a mission statement. To hear it performed live for the first time by our local community was the perfect way to start the final countdown to June.
Supporting the Road to June 2026
Every ticket sold and every donation made goes directly to the Various Voices Solidarity Fund. This fund is essential for making this June’s festival truly global, providing financial support for international singers—many from regions where queer expression is restricted—to stand with us right here in Brussels.
Brussels in Harmony proved that when we lift our voices together, we can change the world. See you at Various Voices in June!
