Sing Out Brussels! sang on September 19 for the opening of this new feminist and queer festival in Brussels.
The FAME (Festival where Arts meet empowerment) project corresponds well to the values of our choir, which defends emancipation through music and fights against all discriminations, especially those based on gender identity or sexual orientation.
Sing Out Brussels! presented some songs at #Where, the festival’s headquarters located near the Place Sainte-Catherine. Under the tent, in this open and free space, we proposed some excerpts of our repertoire, ending of course with Clara Luciani’s feminist anthem “La Grenade”.
The audience was not very large but many passers-by stopped to warm up to the sound of our voices on this autumn evening. For our group, this small concert was the opportunity to perform for the last time some of our songs from the last four years, as we are now starting a new project.
The Fame festival takes place until September 24 in various places in Brussels.
