Singing Baraye, in solidarity with Iran
In solidarity with Iranian women, the local LGBTQI+ community and all those involved in the freedom movement in Iran, several of our members came together to sing Baraye.
Santé op de chaussée!
Sing Out Brussels! participated in “Santé op de chaussée”, the New Year’s party of GC De Maalbeek, the cultural centre that hosted our rehearsals during our first three seasons.
Winter Vox – The Magic of Christmas
Sing Out Brussels! took part in the Winter Vox festival organised as part of the Winter Wonders, the Brussels Christmas market. Our songs warmed up the hearts of the public who came in great numbers despite the freezing cold.
The Rainbow Cops Celebrate Their 10th Anniversary
Alongside other LGBTQI+ artists, Sing Out Brussels! performed some songs at the reception organised for the occasion at Brussels City Hall.
Brussels three LGBTQI+ choirs come together at the Sing for Life concert
Sing for Life is a charity concert organised by Tapalanote (the choir of Brussels Gay Sport ). For the first time, Brussels two other LGBTQI+ choirs took part in the event, which gathered 120 singers for a concert of the three headline acts.
Improving decision making in our choir
Several of our members have been trained in ‘systemic consensing’, a collective decision-making method based on non-violent communication. The aim is to improve our way of working and ensure that every concern is heard.
Strengthening our community in Spa
Last weekend, the choir enjoyed its annual weekend getaway at the Domaine de Mambaye in Spa. This was our chance to progress with the repertoire for our upcoming show “School’s out” and to get to know each other even better.
Opening of Fame Festival
Sing Out Brussels! sang on September 19 for the opening of this new feminist and queer festival in Brussels.
